Most Aren't Aware that Changing Lanes for Roadside Workers is the Law

There are many drivers who have no idea what to do behind the wheel when they approach roadside workers, and as a result according to the National Traffic Incident Management Coalition, 200 of those workers will lose their lives this year. The reason for the huge number of fatalities can be pinpointed to a poll that was conducted by Mason Dixon Polling & Research. Although all 50 states have Move Over laws currently on the books, 71 percent of the drivers in this country have never even heard of it.

The laws are quite simple, slow down as you approach these workers, change lanes to give these roadside workers room to conduct business safely, and maintain your slower speed until you have passed the area that they are working. Red Bluff Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram hopes to inform more drivers to the Move Over law so we can reduce fatalities of roadside workers this year.
