The Wrangler has three engine options for customers to consider:
- Standard 3.6-liter V6 engine (285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque)
- Available 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 engine (270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque)
- Available 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine (470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque)
The Wrangler 4xe pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 engine with two electric motors to produce 375 total horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The Wrangler 4xe can also drive up to 21 miles using only electric power.
Transmission and Powertrain
The Wrangler comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, while an eight-speed automatic transmission is available. The Wrangler 4xe only offers an eight-speed automatic transmission. All Wrangler and Wrangler 4xe models come standard with four-wheel drive.
Design Options
The Wrangler comes with two-door and four-door design options. Two-door models have four seats, a passenger volume of 104 cubic feet, and a maximum interior cargo volume of 31.7 cubic feet. Four-door models have five seats, a passenger volume of 104 cubic feet, and a maximum interior cargo volume of 72.4 cubic feet. Wrangler 4xe models come only with four doors. All Wrangler and Wrangler 4xe models have open-air driving capability, with removable doors, a removable roof, and a fold-down windshield.
