Some people believe that because synthetic oil isn't real oil, that regular, real, conventional oil is better. This isn't necessarily so. Synthetic oil is actually real oil, natural oil that has been processed at the molecular level to withstand higher and lower engine temperatures without breaking down. Your engine coats your moving parts in your engine, and when this coating breaks down due to heat, it doesn't protect your engine as well. Added to that, the additives will break down, and soon, a heated engine is no longer a clean engine, because the additives that were there to clean the engine aren't cleaning it. Synthetic oil's additives continue to clean the engine at high temperatures, and will not break down at either temperature extreme. Ask one of our trained professional technicians which synthetic oil, if any, would be appropriate for your vehicle.
